Kayla Bullard
Kayla Bullard is a 16 year old equine enthusiast from Indus, Alberta. She grew up with horses and has been riding her whole life. Kayla enjoys participating in horse shows and cowboy challenges. She is part of the Indus Silver Spurs 4-H Club and is the Vice President. Last year Kayla was on the Calgary Stampede Showriders Drill Team. This amazing opportunity allowed her to grow with her horse and learn many valuable skills that will benefit her for the rest of her life. Aside from horses, Kayla loves reading and spending time with her family and friends. Kayla is a passionate young lady with big goals. She is inspired to become a nurse allowing her to care for others and she is eager to become a role model for the next generation and pass on her love for rodeo.
Shelby Oldale
My name is Shelby Oldale, I am 15 years old and live on a farm West of Crossfield. I am in grade 10 at WG Murdoch and have been on the honor roll for 4 years. I have an older brother Tyler, a younger borther Dylan, and a younger sister Hailey. I love spending a lot of time with my family. On our farm we raise sheep, chickens, peacocks, cattle, and pigs. I am a member of the Cremona 4-H Club where I have beef, sheep, judging and green certificate projects. I am an OH Ranch Branded Beef Youth Ambassador this year. I love being busy. One of my favourite things is he volunteer trips when we take our sheep to the Rocky View Lodge in Crossfield to brighten some seniors’ day. They love the Halloween trip the most because the sheep wear costumes too.
Leah Simpson
I am currently 15 years old, I live North of Crossfield on my families farm. I have been riding horses for 10 years, in the fall I was able to purchase my own horse named Annie. For the last two years, I have competed and qualified for finals with Crooked Horn Canadian Jr. Rodeo Association in barrels and pole bending. I am currently playing Club Volleyball with the Airdrie Hawks as a Setter. I am in grade 10 this year and working toward my goal of continuing my education in Environmental Sciences with a career in Conservation.
Bailee Smith
My name is Bailee Smith, I am 17 years old and born and raised in the foothills of Alberta. I have grown up raising, training, breeding, and transporting horses since I could walk, and have competed in multiple disciplines both Western and English. I am so excited to participate in the Pete Knight Rodeo Royalty competition with my Quarter Horse mare Jem Seeking Skipper, as it will give her an opportunity to learn in an external environment from our usual training. I am a vice president for my 4 H club the Millarville Mutts, Mustangs, Marksmen, and Multi. I love to be around horses and spend time with my family in all their different hobbies. I am inspired to achieve my journeyman's electrician by 2028. As well I am looking forward to meeting new people, and advertising Pete Knight Rodeo Days with such a high honor.
